Hi , that’s interesting bought 660s and just bought 660s2 and now or should come with 1.8m with 1/4” jack plug with short 1/4” socket to 3.5 mm jack plug lead , and 1.8m to 4.4mm pentergon jack plug . Yes better bass than 660s, but compared with my 6xx with custom cans bass mod I think very similar but doing a-b my 6xx slightly better also they have 33mm thicker pads . Thanks for the comparison of the easy to drive 990 X against what I do use, the 990 Editon. The X sounds like a good alternative for portable use with the low impedence. I use the 250 ohm (amped) DT990 Edition (Pro) They are so comfortable. Cant compare to the X but I wear them more than my Hifiman Sundaras because they are like you said full of energy with a huge sound stage. The Sundaras are also great but nothing as comfortable as the 990 Edition Pro. I will use my Senheiser 599 when I want fair Bass presence and every thing else neutral or pretty much as recorded. I think most people could get by with a set like this at a reasonable price. My search is over for now. I am happy with these and maybe a half dozen others. ;-)

Hey, how does it compare with EW200? Either of these is going to be my first IEM. I listen to all sorts of music from devotional to rock. Additionally, I want my IEM to be neutral yet have just enough bass and a crystal clear and detailed treble. So which one of these 2 would do my ears some justice?

I own both Bottlehead Crack and Schiit Valhalla 2. I think they both sound the same to me. The Bottlehead Crack is more fun because you get to build it yourself. Schiit Valhalla 2 cost less than Bottlehead Crack with Speedball. For sound quality both are equal enough that you will not be able to hear the difference. I use Sennheiser HD 650.

Wonderful Comparison ! Sennheiser HD800 is what i would buy after my extensive testing. A Song called Juditha Triumphans - Aria Vagus version which has 3 minutes 25 seconds is a wonderful song to test out headphones ( Make sure its Aria Vagus version - there are like 30 songs in the same album )

would evo 4 run this headphones well?

I know I’m late to this party…. However… the lcd2 is awesome at music and gaming… very directional. Image good. Soundstage is pretty good and accurate… they are god awful at watching movies on or critical listening… makes every movie sound like the mics were from the 50s. That isn’t it at all

I'm looking for an IEM under $100 USD to get pumped up to EDM to. I'm looking for an IEM with a sub-bass focus and textured bass and overall more focused on quality than quantity. I'm not sensitive to treble. Would you recommend the Simgot EA500LM or something else entirely?

If it's connected to a mirrorless camera does it still need a 9v battery if the xlr mic is not phantom power?

Mr Aryat, I've been watching your reviews for years! I value your opinion. Do you still rate the Hp-3's?

Absolutely agree to everything you perceived and documented. I found the detail retrieval on par with my LCD5. Where the HEDD2 exceeds however is the timbre of vocal and instruments adding to the realism that you also mentioned. Only on some tracks they sounded sibilant where LCD5 didn’t at all so I think certain high frequencies around 5-8khz are getting strengthened because of perhaps some internal reflection. But still love them for Folk, jazz, alternative or any track which has real instrument and vocal. Thanks for the putting this gem of a headphone in the limelight.

Dunno why they didn't make the window clear. Would be cooler if they did. Reminds me of an Onkyo dac/amp I had years ago, if a touch bigger. Sadly the battery died.

Damn that headband design is out there, but I like the black on black colour scheme. Some of us need a bit extra in there. For me it's the low end.

The 660s2 is to expensive for what it is. The 600 blows it away on a quality amp something you definitely need for the 660s2 with it`s 300 ohm. I don`t like the 660s serie, to much coloration going on and they sound artificial.

needs some driver burn in unfortunately. Because when I got I can't listen it too long without red nozzle. Really sibilant and peaky. After a month of using I can use gold nozzle. Silver nozzle still sparkles and headache to use

i recently sold my Qutest in favour of a Topping E50. i heard no difference whatsoever!

I hate that the mesh dents so easily. I have a pair and barely use it because it just not sound as good as some of my other headphones. I mostly listen to metal and play games though.

I found a pair of these at a goodwill for $7.00 the headband is missing but i tested them and they work! Got the box and manual also..wish i could find a replacement headband..

I've been really struggling with the Rockwall ladder. My instructions say to take the top board off and put the bolts through but they don't screw in at all. Do you have to pre dill?

I very much agree with your review. I had the 2022 and the 2020 and concur that the 2022 missed in excitement. Just sold the 2022. I use the 2020 with the Danacable Rhapsody and the SP3000 DAP. One question - did you think th 2020 is a bit light in bass?

It's July 2024 in Sydney, my birthday today, and I've got the HD 700 on right now. I bought them in 2013. I adore the sound, especially, as the video indicates, on lush sounds, eg classical or certain 1950s doo wop. However, I don't mind at all what the HD 700 does with folk music from 40+ national groups worldwide (I no longer call it "world music"), R&B, rural and urban blues, jazz and even blow your brains rock. I do wish however that sometimes the bass had more oomph, yet if it did, I expect it would loose a lot of what already makes it an audibly superb, and physically comfortable experience using the HD 700. I've been an audiophile since the age of about 12. That is thanks to my brother HHD, who in 1970 amassed a superb hi-fi system. That was within about six years of migrating to Sydney from Tehran (we're Armenians). He had eclectic music tastes at the time, I've had that taste always. So, in sum thanks all for the kickback at the reviewer (well done, 'twas anyway), with whom I am in complete disagreement or our preferences significantly differ.

A bit of a longshot if you'd see this but do you know of a way to replace the elastic headband itself? I recently won a lot auction and it included these headphone but they are missing the elastic headband itself. I've been searching around for replacements but no dice. Lord knows I adore the sound of my Hidizs MP145 earphones, but unfortunately, I cannot achieve a proper seal in my left ear, and so, it is time for me to pass them on to someone who can put them to good use. And, because I am a planar magnetic driver fanatic, I plan to order a pair of these Letshuoer S08 as soon as they are available in my usual online shop (Lazada), or at least when they can be bought using discount vouchers.

4:28 it can sound great and all that You want but for me doesn't make sense a headphone like this has almost the cost of a car it doesn't look like it it's not a Rolex it doesn't have jewelry innit You know 😂 just too overrated in My opinión if You can spend 1,000 dollars in a headphones You probably won't need more at that price point You are like on top of the ceiling already from 1,000 to 2,000 dollars maximun it doesn't even need to get to 2000 dollars cause You won't find much of a difference a headphone that cost 6,000 dollars doesn't make any sense to me.

@KiwiNickG Try taking out the foamy out of the tuners that you are not using and see if that will work for you. I find it opens up mids for me.
